Fall Concert - With the Wakeland High School Orchestra
The Frisco Community Band was honored to join the talented student musicians of Wakeland High School for A Harmonious Fall Concert, an evening that brought together community and school performers in a unique collaborative experience.
One of the highlights of the concert was the opportunity for Wakeland students to perform alongside the Frisco Community Band in a full orchestral setting, combining strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion to create a rich and powerful ensemble sound. This collaboration allowed students to experience the musical depth and camaraderie that comes from performing within a larger orchestra while sharing the stage with experienced community musicians.
The program featured a diverse selection of beloved works, including Smetana's The Moldau, The Anvil Chorus, Anderson's Blue Tango, and selections from Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus. Together, these pieces showcased the versatility, artistry, and enthusiasm of the combined ensemble.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the outstanding students and directors of the Wakeland High School Orchestra program for their partnership and dedication. It was a special evening of music-making, learning, and community that highlighted the power of collaboration across generations of musicians.

Celebrate the season with the Frisco Community Band and the talented student musicians of Frisco High School at the FISD Visual and Performing Arts Center for Holiday Bonanza.

Celebrate the season with the Frisco Community Band as we help light up the night at Frisco’s Merry Main Street! Join us at Simpson Plaza on December 5, 2026, for an evening of holiday cheer, festive music, and community spirit.
We’re proud to be part of this beloved tradition, performing joyful tunes that set the stage for the City Tree Lighting Ceremony and a magical night in the heart of Frisco. With school choirs, holiday markets, and visits from Santa, it’s a celebration you won’t want to miss!
